Most of what drives me comes down to getting a little better every week. I like hard problems, I like finishing what I start, and I’d rather learn something by building it than by reading about it.

Right now I’m doing aerosol jet printing research at Iowa State, working on a mixed silver platinum nanoparticle ink to see whether the alloy holds up as a high temperature sensor. I’m also on a data analytics project with Dr. Cameron MacKenzie looking at billion dollar weather disasters.

I’ve played soccer since I was a kid and still play. Outside of that I lift, camp, fish, and golf. Staying fit is a big part of how I keep everything else steady.
